Prepare For Your Session

 

In preparation for your session, it's important to be acquainted with our philosophy at Indigo Rising!

We believe that everyone is a powerful co-creator with the divine universal energies that surround us all.  This means that each session is not only guided by the universe but is also dependent on our energy and your energy.  Therefore, just as we prepare for our session with you, we ask that you also prepare yourself to come to the session.  

Before each session we meditate and ask spirit to open the path to your healing.  The sessions are highly individual and we allow spirit to guide the session.  It is important to note however, that no matter what the session reveals, you have free will to change any event in your life.  We guarantee you will leave our sessions filled with a sense of relaxation, peace, a renewed spirit, and a fresh perspective! 


Preparation for Intuitive Counseling:

1. During intuitive counseling sessions there is often a lot of information shared, and you want to make sure you can process it when you return home.  This is why a CD recording of the session is provided at no additional cost.  You are welcome to bring a journal to the session and record any additional insights that you recieve.  We recommend you listen to the session at least one additional time.  The first time the guidance comes through it is just absorbing into your energy field.  The second time you hear it you can begin to integrate the guidance that you feel drawn to into your life, and after listening a third time, you will find yourself integrating the guidance that resonates the most with you. 

2. It is suggested not to drink any caffeine, alcohol or take any mind-altering substances 24 hours prior to your session.  If you are a regular coffee drinker, please continue your everyday routine.  Abstaining from any substance that your body has become dependent on the day of your session will only throw you out of balance.  However, we suggest that you not ingest any substances for at least 1 hour prior to the session.

3. Create a list of open-ended questions to bring with you.  We suggest that you take some quiet meditative time to sit down, light a candle and invoke the presence of spirit, then allow whatever questions that come to mind to flow onto the paper.  Release any judgement about what the 'right' question is - any question that comes through during this time should be brought up.  When we can allow ourselves to completly relax and clear our minds - the clearest insight will arise.  So trust the questions you recieve during this exercise. 

4. Most importantly bring an open mind and heart!
 
 
Preparation for Energy Healing:

1. Wear comfortable, loose clothes.

2. Leave jewelry at home if possible, you will be asked to remove any watch or daily wear jewelry before the session.

3. Avoid wearing any perfume, cologne, or essential oils into session.  We use a variety of essential oils and any scents you bring in may alter the effectiveness of the treatment.

4. Concentrate on drinking plenty of water 48 hours before your session.  You want to begin flushing out any physical toxins, this will allow the energy to flow with more ease.

5. Eat light meals throughout the day preceding your session.  Ideally, you want to have your session on an empty stomach.  However, light food does not usually affect your experience.  You are the best judge of this, listen to your body, and don’t eat a full meal before the session.

6. Plan the healing session at the end of your day or on a day off.  You want to be able to relax and let the energy absorb and integrate once the session is over.  Quiet, meditative activities are recommended for the remainder of the day after each session.


After Your Session:
 

It may take 12-48 hours for the effects of the healing to fully integrate into all of your layers (physical, mental, emotional and spiritual).  Plan for this and treat yourself gently in the hours and days following each session. Drink plenty of water and ground yourself by ingesting substantial healthly meals.  

You may feel lethargic or have some physical, mental and/or emotional discomfort after the session – it is simply the energy realigning itself in your body.  Allow yourself to rest and breath through any discomfort – it will pass and is a part of the process. 

The opposite may also happen, you may find yourself full of energy and happier then usual.  Take care not to overexert yourself, this energy boost is also a part of a realigning of your energetic makeup. 

Each person’s experience is unique, so most importantly, remember that energy healing is a form of personal and spiritual growth, be open to whatever comes up for you, know that there is a greater purpose for any feelings, emotions or physical discomfort that unfolds during this time.
