Self Esteem 

Low self-esteem does not come on all at once.  It can be difficult to pinpoint when it began.  It is usually unnoticed in early stages, however, it spreads slowly through the mind until it begins to act as a destructive force in our lives.  The primary cause of low self esteem is negative programming from the past.  What this means is that a singular event does not usually bring on a dramatic shift in one's self-esteem.  Usually, we suffer from interactions from judgemental individuals in the past; our parents, teachers, relatives, spouse, friends - and often from our own judgemental attitude towards ourselves.  Negative comments, ridicule and criticism are absorbed by our subconcious mind and are buried becasue we usually can't understand how to deal with them at the time.  What happens is that even though the negative situation or person may no longer be in your life, the feelings, fears, self-doubts and damaging attitudes remain deep within your subconcious.  These feelings and fears can be rooted so deep within you that they can paralyze forward movement in your life.  What we know is that through hypnotherapy we can quiet the concious mind and access the subconcious mind.  It is here that we can access these memories and bring the old feelings into the light.  We then work to help you to understand and resolve these past experiences in order to free you from the past and allow you to move forward without the weight of judgement into a more confident future.
